Manufacturer Specific Advanced Training
As an additional level of training, many schools offer manufacturer-specific courses after completion of a standard automotive technology program. After coursework on the general configurations of a car, the schools offer coursework on the specific details of the manufacturer.
Manufacturer-specific programs are very competitive and in order to be accepted, you need a high automotive school GPA and must pass an intensive interview process. If you are chosen, you may also be fortunate to receive free tuition. Manufacturers like Volvo, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz are some of the manufacturers who participate.
Attending an automotive school is your first step in manufacturer specific training. Find the right automotive school and earn good grades -- then you will be in a good position for applying for acceptance into a manufacturer-specific program.
